Our Future Business Magnates (FBM) team have won a special award at a prestigious presentation evening held at the Xcel Centre in Newton Aycliffe.

The team of Year 8 students, who have been working with Mrs Mulryan, entered the Durham County Council enterprise competition with an ingenious idea to re-vamp pre-owned shoes. The competition, which gives young people the opportunity to develop a business idea and learn from a local business mentor, is open to all secondary schools across the district.

Our team came a very respectable sixth overall out of 25 competing schools with their online business called 'Carbon Footprint'. They also recieved the "Best Environmental Business' award. Congratulations to Ellie, Charlie- Anne, Tessa, Georgia, Evie, Georgia, Megann and Bethany.
