Each year in December at King James, students and staff collect items of food and toiletries to help stock essential foodbanks which support families in need in our local community.

Key Stage 3 students in Years 7, 8 and 9 have been treated to a captivating live performance by the up-and-coming boyband 'Absnt Mind', complemented by a thought-provoking discussion on mental health, body image and cyber bullying.

Each year at King James, collecting food items to support local foodbanks, and to help those living in food poverty is an important Christmas activity.

Students and staff at King James have united in support of the BBCs Children in Need fundraising event, and as a team we have raised an astonishing £804.84!

Year 7 student, Stacey-Jo R is celebrating winning her latest trophy as she represented Shildon Amateur Boxing club in a bout against Easington.
