In the last week of term, an excellent time was had by competitors and spectators alike at our Year Group Sports Day events, which were held over two beautiful sunny days.

Field events took place prior to the track events, with students taking part in Shot Putt, Discus, Javelin, Standing Broad Jump and Standing Triple Jump. Track events including 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and the 4 x 100m relay then followed, with form groups competing for the trophies.

At the Year 7 Sports Day event, the winner’s trophy was claimed by Mrs Fegan’s form group with 114 points overall; and Miss Curtis and Miss Culleton’s form groups took second and third place with 112 and 100 points respectively.

In Year 8, Mrs Franklin’s form group claimed the trophy with 116 points, and Miss Howard’s group took second with 109 points followed by Miss Best’s tutees in third place with 85 points.

Miss Armstrong’s form group were the Year 9 winners with an amazing 131 points overall at the end of the day, followed by Mr Bryan’s group in second place with 105 points and Miss Gowland’s group in third place with 82 points.

Finally, in Year 10 the first place trophy was claimed by Miss Dixon’s tutor group, with second place won by Mrs Lamb’s tutees with 107 points and third by Miss Song’s class with 75 points overall. Well done to everyone!
