A group of Year 10 Food and Cookery students have worked together to produce a selection of baked goods for our local Women’s Refuge, to show kindness and support.

Individual treat boxes were filled with a variety of tasty sandwiches and sweet treats including fairy cakes, tray bakes and scones. Students also created similar treat boxes at Christmas for those staying at the refuge. Showing support for our local community isn’t always about donating money; gestures such as these promote empathy and give our students the opportunity to show they care.
