Sixth Form Media students have attended the annual Media Festival at Sunderland University. The festival gives young people an insight into the various modules available as part of a Media-related degree course.

As a reward for their excellent attitude, behavior and effort in Art lessons throughout the year, 28 students in Years 7, 8 and 9 have visited the BALTIC Contemporary Centre for Art to take part in a creative workshop.

A team of seven Year 8 students have received an independent award for Best Financial Plan and claimed 4th place overall in Business Durham’s long-standing Future Business Magnates competition 2019. The team competed against 17 other schools.

There are a number of ways you can earn money as a Sixth Former at King James. Some, such as becoming a bus or coach escort, offer a wage throughout the academic year, whilst other opportunities offer employment for a specific period.

Guided by a team of Sixth Form Mentors, around 500 primary school pupils from 15 different schools in our local area have visited King James this week for our annual Year 5 Curriculum Week event.

Year 9 Food Technology students have been taking part in Mrs Lamb's "Swiss Roll Challenge'. In this fun activity, students have just one hour to make and decorate a swiss roll without adult assistance.
