Welcome to the latest issue of Vision, our Academy magazine.

The past academic year has brought challenges for the students of King James, but once again they have proven to be exceptional ambassadors for the

Academy, and a credit to their parents. Students continue to support each other when times get tough, and that makes it more enjoyable when we celebrate their frequent and significant successes, both inside and outside of the classroom. We are incredibly proud that these students are a part of our school community.

I would like to congratulate all of our Year 11 and Year 13 students who have performed exceptionally well in their external examinations this summer. We are pleased that the majority of our Year 11’s are returning to study in our Sixth Form, and that all Sixth Form students who applied for university have successfully secured their place.

This magazine will give you a snapshot of what students have enjoyed outside of the curriculum at King James, but this is only a flavour of what students get up to; there really is too much to include within these pages. From international travel and work experience, to taking part in The Key+ Challenge, Duke of Edinburgh Awards and numerous competitions, students have many opportunities for personal development.
