The Academy reopens for teaching on Thursday 03 September 2026 for all students
Thanks to our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning we were able to donate over £500.
Showing support for local and national charities is an important part of our Academy life and we organise a programme of activities and events throughout the year to raise funds.
In September, each year group chooses a specific charity to support, and activities are planned to raise money which is donated at the end of the academic year when we have final totals. Last year, Year 7s raised £550.00 for The Angel Trust; Year 8s raised £434.00 for School of Sanctuary; Year 9s raised £1,252.00 for The Glove Project; Year 10s donated £842.90 to If U Care, Share, and together, Years 11 and 12 raised £4,263.55 for The GO! Project at King James.
As an Academy, we also supported a number of other charities including Make a Wish, the Poppy Appeal, Teenage Cancer Support, Children in Need, Feeding Families, West Auckland Food Bank, MIND and Comic Relief. Despite the financial challenges faced by many of our families, we are so proud to have donated over £11,463.55 to charity in the last academic year!
