Reka and Jaycob achieved excellent results.

Students at King James are celebrating fantastic GCSE results. This year, more students have also achieved a Grade 5 in both Maths and English than in previous years, with 96% of students achieving at least a Grade 4 in GCSE Statistics, a third of students achieving a Grade 5 and many students also being awarded Grade 7+. Overall results are very positive and we are delighted for our students, who have exceeded expectations across a range of subjects.

In History, nearly 70% achieved at least a Grade 4, with 61% achieving a Grade 5 or above and almost one third of students achieving at least a Grade 7. In Computing, 100% of students achieved at least a Grade 5, with a record 38% being awarded a Grade 7 or above ?“ a great achievement. Results in vocational subjects are again extremely strong, with large numbers of students achieving the highest grades possible. In Health & Social Care, a third of students achieved the highest grades possible (Distinction or Distinction*). In Enterprise, the number of students achieving the highest grades is also very high and almost all students achieved at least a Level 2 Pass, with almost a third of students achieving a Level 2 Merit. In Media, results are also fantastic with almost a third of students achieving the highest grades possible and 100% of students in Sport achieved at least a Level 2 Pass.

Particular congratulations go to our highest achieving students, including Tyler D who achieved a Grade 9 in five different subjects, and was also awarded a Grade 8 in a further five subjects. Tyler will now go on to study Maths and Sciences at King James I Academy Sixth Form. Reka B has also achieved fantastic results, including Grade 7 or above in every subject. Jaycob B also deserves a special commendation, achieving top grades in 7 subjects, and will also continue his studies in our Sixth form.

Whilst these students have achieved particularly notable results, we are proud of all of our fantastic young people and the effort and dedication they have applied to achieve their successes. These results are a testament to their talents and perseverance, not only in the last two years but throughout their journey so far at King James I Academy. Many of them will now continue their journey with us, studying A-Level and other Level 3 qualifications in Sixth form; we wish them the best of luck for their future and we know they will go on to secure even greater successes.
