Each year, our Year 12 students take part in Work Experience Week, with placements in a wide range of sectors.

This year, students worked at Woodham Academy, Hewitts Solicitors, Smith Roddam Solicitors, Shildon Alive, Investing in Children, And Eve Studio, Bishop Auckland Hospital, Darlington Memorial Hospital, Breaking Bread, The Auckland Project, 4 Paws Farm, Durham University, Durham Hospital, Thornhill Primary School, Handling Sales Equipment, St Andrews Primary, Evergreen Primary, Durham Development Ltd, Hathway Roofing and Teescraft Engineering.

AJ P, pictured here, spent the week at Change Plastering in Shildon. He said, “I have really enjoyed working this week and have learned so much. Plastering is hard work and it takes a lot of skill but it is so satisfying when you get it right.”
