June 2026

Members of our Site Maintenance Team have raised over £1,000 for charity by completing a 26-mile hike in the Lake District.

In 27-degree heat, the team hiked for eight hours across rough terrain around the perimeter of Ullswater to raise money for Breast Cancer UK and Alzheimer’s Society, with a total of £1,068 donated by friends, family and colleagues at King James.

Jonathan Page said, “These charities are close to our hearts, as we all know someone that has been affected. Both charities provide so much support for families during extremely difficult times, and we wanted to give something back. We are all keen walkers and enjoy the countryside so a sponsored hike was the perfect fundraiser for us.”

The team are already planning another fundraiser for 2027, which will involve climbing Helvellyn via Striding Edge route, which is the most iconic and dangerous option.
