A group of Year 8 girls have recently used their Stage 1 Key Challenge funding for a trip to the cinema and a meal at Nando's in Darlington. The team of five students call themselves The Aqua Girls.

At Vue Cinema in Darlington, the girls had lots of fun spending some of their budget on pick'n'mix, quirky limited edition drink cups and other treats before going to see 'Hoppers'. This is the latest Disney release, which is about a young activist using new technology to impersonate a beaver to save a dam that is at risk of being destroyed for new housing developments. The girls really enjoyed the movie and found it very funny. After the film, they went to Nando's in where they enjoyed chicken, chips and unlimited ice cream!

The Aqua Girls are just one of the student teams that have signed up to take part in The Key extra-curricular opportunity at King James.
