Remote Learning - Morning Registration Form
All Students must fill in this registration form every morning when remote learning BEFORE the following times:
- Year 7 & Year 9: 8:50am
- Year 8 & Year 10: 9:50am
- Year 11: 9:40am
- Sixth Form: 9:30am Please note you must be logged in to your academy Google account to access this form. For example, on your Chromebook. Register Attendance

Where your child has been asked to self-isolate, please note that our excellent Parent Liaison Officers, Manuela Sewell and Kelley-Anne Aldsworth, are available to support you in ensuring that your child is able to continue to access their education remotely using their Chromebook computer. They will make early contact with you to introduce themselves and they will be available to answer any of your questions or queries.
Remote Learning Notice
Following the Government Announcement on Monday 4th January 2021, King James I Academy is closed to all students except vulnerable students and the children of critical workers until further notice. Please contact the Academy if you require a place for your child.Vocational examinations for Year 11, 12 and 13 students have now been cancelled

Issue 18 of KJ Linked - Keeping Our Community Connected
Welcome to Issue 18 of KJ Linked, the newsletter designed to help you stay busy during the national lockdown.
Following our first week of online learning this term, we would like to thank and congratulate the many students who have logged
on for live learning each morning and submitted a record number of assignments set by their teachers.
We are proud of the resilience that you have demonstrated throughout the week and will celebrate your achievements when we return to school.
We know that lockdown and school closure can be extremely difficult to cope with, so this issue contains some great ideas to help you relax and switch off from the pandemic for a while. It’s important to try and keep up with your studies, and of course we are here to help you with every aspect of your learning, but it is equally important to look after your mental health and to try and remain positive.
Thanks to the new vaccines we have lots to look forward to, so please remember that this will not last forever. In the meantime we
can all play our part by following the lockdown rules. Stay safe everyone.
